Yacón

De Tilgrupshof is a self-picking farm in Appelscha, Netherlands, cultivating ecological vegetables since January 2024. The farm is part of an area focused on increasing biodiversity through ecological farming practices. Members, called “oogstgenoten” (harvest companions), pay an annual fee for the right to harvest their own vegetables and herbs for about 30 weeks, from mid-May to November. They can harvest 4 to 5 days a week. The farm operates on the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) principle.

Wij Telen Groente is an organic urban farm where you can harvest your own fresh vegetables, herbs, and berries. There’s also a beautiful flower picking garden. Everything is organically certified, grown with care and love by professional gardeners together with enthusiastic and involved volunteers. They also offer day care in the greenhouse under the name Telen met Zorg. You can buy harvest shares of the products from the greenhouse or the land. The greenhouse’s produce includes winter vegetables such as carrots, leeks, yacon, romaine lettuce, and shiitake mushrooms.

Visitors can purchase a share in the harvest, either from the greenhouse (Kas) or the field (Land), allowing them to pick produce during specific hours. The greenhouse offers a longer harvest season, roughly from March to November, while the field’s season runs from about May to November.
