Biologische Tuinderij Land en Boschzigt

Land en Boschzigt in ’s-Graveland is a pick-your-own vegetable garden and the oldest biodynamic farm in the Netherlands, established in 1947. Visitors can harvest seasonal vegetables, fruit and herbs from the fields between mid-April and the end of November. The farm operates on a membership system: for €450, you receive a weekly share of the harvest for about 32 weeks. Members pick their own produce on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 15.30 to 20.00, and on Saturdays from 10.00 to 13.00. The farm grows without artificial fertilisers or pesticides, using only organic seeds and compost.

Alongside the pick-your-own garden, the farm has a shop selling its own vegetables, fruit from other organic growers, bread, dairy, cheese, wine and dry goods. The shop is open Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 17.00 and on Saturdays from 9.00 to 17.00. Next to the shop is a flower field where you can pick your own bouquet during opening hours. A single bouquet costs €14.50, or you can buy a multi-visit card for a discount.

The farm also has a vineyard producing sparkling and white wine, and a café, De Serre, serving food and drinks on the premises. Land en Boschzigt offers day activities for people with disabilities and accepts interns from agricultural schools. The farm is wheelchair-accessible, with accessible parking and an entrance. For the 2026 season, membership is fully booked, but a waiting list is available.

The on-site shop sells organic groceries, and the café serves simple, fresh meals made with ingredients from the farm. Most find the staff friendly and welcoming, though a few have had less pleasant encounters. Prices are on the higher side, especially for drinks and snacks, and some feel the selection in the shop isn’t much different from standard organic stores. Families enjoy visiting, and children like exploring the gardens. The farm is also a starting point for walks in the surrounding woods.

The stall is outside in dry weather and in the orangery when it rains.
