BloemenBarista in Toldijk is a pick-your-own flower farm growing organic blooms year-round on its own fields. From January to mid-April, tulips are available fresh from the farm’s own nursery. Peonies follow from May to mid-June, and from June to September the fields produce summer flowers such as dahlias and sunflowers. The farm also sells organic flower bulbs from September to December, including dahlia tubers from November.
Visitors pick their own flowers or buy pre-made bouquets from the farm’s stall. The flowers are grown without chemical pesticides or artificial fertilisers. The farm also offers organic bedding plants and perennials in spring, sourced partly from its own fields and partly from other organic growers. For florists and retailers, wholesale orders are possible by arrangement.
The farm operates on a self-service basis. You scan a QR code or pay in cash at the stall. A subscription service is available for summer flowers, with sign-ups open for the 2027 season. Loose flowers cannot be picked outside the subscription period.
BloemenBarista is open daily from 08.00 to 20.00. The farm has wheelchair-accessible parking and an entrance. A small café serves coffee on site.
What visitors say
Visitors come to pick their own summer flowers—especially dahlias—and take home a fresh bouquet every week if they have a subscription. The flowers are grown biologically, right on the farm, and most say the quality is excellent: tulips last long in the vase, and peonies and other blooms are particularly praised. You can choose from a wide range of colours and varieties, and the staff are happy to help you put together something special.
The farm has a relaxed, informal feel, with coffee, cake, and ice cream available. Children can play while adults pick, and the atmosphere is friendly. A few mention it’s a great spot to stop while cycling. Prices are reasonable, and the tulips are often highlighted as good value. Some visitors return specifically for the tulip bulbs in season. The only thing to watch: the best flowers can run out if you come late in the day.
