Bloemenpluktuin

Cadsand Fruit Zaamslag operates as a farm offering various self-picking experiences and farm-fresh produce.

Visitors can enjoy a flower picking garden located adjacent to the main orchard, where they can gather their own bouquets of wildflowers. This garden is open daily from June until the end of October, from sunrise to sunset, operating on a self-service basis with payment determined by the bouquet’s thickness.

For fruit enthusiasts, the farm organizes dedicated self-picking days for apples and pears, typically held on two Saturdays in September. During these events, visitors are welcomed to pick their own fruit from the “Op Noten” orchard, situated at Schepenlaan, south of the Othene district in Terneuzen. The self-pick produce available includes Jonagored apples, and Conference, Doyenne du Commice, and St. Remy pears. Additionally, Goudreinet apples and Gieser Wildeman stewing pears are available for selection from boxes at the same location. These days also offer free activities like a scavenger hunt and orchard rides.

Beyond self-picking, Cadsand Fruit Zaamslag also runs a fruit cart on its main premises. This cart sells apples and pears harvested from their own orchard, typically open from the harvest season until early March, offering a selection of varieties like Santana, Jonagored, Elstar, and Wellant apples, as well as Conference, Doyenne du Commice, and Gieser Wildeman pears. Both the flower garden and the fruit cart operate on a self-service principle, accepting cash or QR code payments with a Dutch banking app.
