Bloemenpluktuin Eikenburg is a flower picking garden located on the Eikenburg estate in the Stratum-Zuid area of Eindhoven. It provides a natural, chemical-free environment where visitors can pick their own seasonal flowers directly from the field. The garden is also a venue for workshops, seasonal celebrations, and special events.
During the self-picking season, which typically runs from approximately June to mid-October, visitors can pick a variety of locally grown, seasonal blooms. Picking is done using scissors, and it is recommended to bring a container with water. The cost for a bouquet is a fixed price of €11, €17.50, or €31, depending on the size chosen. Payment can be made via QR code, payment request, or with a picking voucher or subscription.
The garden is open during the picking season on the following days and hours:
- Wednesday: 14:00–16:00
- Saturday: 10:00–12:00
- Sunday: 12:00–15:00 It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Beyond the regular picking season, the garden hosts special events. In early December, there is a “Groene Kerst” (Green Christmas) event where visitors can pick up adopted Christmas trees, enjoy roasted apples, and purchase bio holly branches. Adoption of a Christmas tree is also offered, where a tree can be taken home for the holidays and returned after New Year to be cared for and reused in following years.
Other activities organized during the summer and throughout the season include flower workshops (such as modern Ikebana and flower pressing), nature mandala making, wreath making, natural cosmetics workshops, children’s story readings with barista coffee, participation in the National Butterfly Count, acoustic music performances among the flowers, and the annual Eikenburg Estate Picnic with live music and canoeing.
Subscriptions and gift vouchers for the 2026 picking season are available, offering options for weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly picking. A bouquet subscription service, operating under the name Studio Nectar, is also offered for those who prefer to have a seasonal bouquet prepared for them and collected from a pickup point, such as the garden or local bakeries.
