Bloemetje Geluk in Markelo is a pick-your-own flower farm with a seasonal tulip field in spring and a summer flower field from July to mid-October. The farm grows a variety of summer flowers in different colours, which visitors can cut themselves to create their own bouquets. In spring, tulips are available for picking or as pre-ordered bouquets.

You pay for flowers by the stem or as a pre-arranged bouquet, with options for small, medium or large sizes. Bouquets can be collected or delivered to nearby villages, including Markelo, Lochem, Laren, Barchem, Goor, Holten, Diepenheim and Gelselaar, for a fixed fee. The farm also offers workshops in flower arranging and ceramics, such as making wreaths, festive decorations or glazed pottery, held on set dates throughout the year.

The summer flower field is open during the season, while the tulip field’s opening hours for 2027 will be announced closer to the time. The farm is wheelchair-accessible, with step-free parking and entrance. Flowers are packed in recyclable materials, and the farm focuses on sustainable practices. In addition to pick-your-own flowers, Bloemetje Geluk provides custom arrangements for special occasions, including funeral flowers.

De Scholte

At De Scholte in Geesteren you pick your own flowers from late April until the first frost. The farm grows over 50 varieties of perennials and 40 annuals, including dahlias, chrysanthemums, zinnias, sunflowers, asters, gladioli, poppies, cornflowers and ornamental grasses. You can also cut herbs such as marjoram and a range of dried-flower crops like statice and strawflowers. The fields are planted in rows with weed-control fabric between them, so the flowers stand clear of the paths.

Blauwe Bessen Berkelland

Blauwe Bessen Berkelland in Haarlo is a pick-your-own blueberry farm between Haarlo and Borculo. The farm grows three main varieties: Duke, Brigitta Blue and Liberty. Duke ripens early in the season, producing large, fresh berries even with little sun. Brigitta Blue and Liberty follow, offering sweet, crisp berries in mid-season. All berries are unsprayed. You pick your own berries and pay by weight at €8.00 per kilo. Pre-picked berries are also available in large (€5.50) and small (€3.00) containers. The farm occasionally sells blueberry tarts, strawberry jam (made from their own strawberries), apple juice and honey from a roadside stall on Hogebrugweg.

Kwekerij De Haar

At Kwekerij De Haar in Wierden, visitors can pick their own blueberries and blackberries from early July until the end of August. The farm operates on a self-pick basis, with fruit available from Monday to Thursday between 09.00 and 15.30. Upon arrival, you receive a small bucket for picking, and you pay €6 per kilo at the counter. The farm specialises in rhododendrons, which are available for purchase year-round, though planting is best done in autumn or early spring. Varieties include Cunningham White, Roseum Elegans, and Nova Zembla, with heights ranging from 2 to 3 metres. Rhododendrons can be planted in sun or partial shade, provided the soil is well-drained.

De Wildeling in Lettele is a pick-your-own flower farm where visitors can gather seasonal, locally grown blooms. The farm specialises in hand-tied bouquets, DIY flower bundles, and self-picking in its flower fields. The flowers are grown naturally and in tune with the seasons, with varieties changing throughout the year. The farm is currently closed due to illness, but when open, picking is available by appointment only. You can book a self-picking session or order pre-made bouquets and bundles for collection. Bouquets and DIY bundles are also available for delivery within the municipality of Deventer.
