Boer Pelleboer is an organic farm operation spanning two locations: Boerderij StadsZicht, situated on the edge of Stadshagen in Zwolle, and Boerderij PolderZicht in Mastenbroek, located in one of the oldest polders in the Netherlands. The farm emphasizes biological production, sustainability, and a deep respect for animals and nature, aiming to connect people with rural life.
Visitors to Boerderij StadsZicht have several opportunities for self-picking. They can harvest fresh produce from their own rented vegetable plots (moestuin) or ‘smultuinen,’ where the farm handles the cultivation but guests enjoy the picking. Additionally, there is a flower picking garden where individuals can gather their own bouquets of biological cut flowers. The farm also mentions the activity of picking apples and pears.
Beyond self-picking, Boer Pelleboer offers a range of experiences and products. Its farm shop provides Red de Rijke Weide cheese, natural meat from their own cattle, fresh organic vegetables from De Warmoezerij (also available as weekly packages), and fresh eggs from their chicken coop. Boerderij PolderZicht, a biological dairy farm, serves as a care farm and activity hub, offering tours of milking robots, cows, and calves. Both locations provide activities such as meadow bird safaris, barge trips, canoeing, archery, children’s parties, meadow surfing (on a hay bale behind a tractor), raft building races, Dutch canal vaulting (fierljeppen), and creative workshops. The farm also provides day care for individuals with support needs and educational programs for students requiring extra assistance.

It has proven impossible to get in touch with this establishment. We’ve spent weeks trying to call, sent numerous emails, WhatsApp messages, and Facebook messages. Although Facebook and WhatsApp indicate our messages were seen, we’ve received absolutely no reply. Furthermore, we visited the location multiple times during stated opening hours, only to find no one present. It’s astonishing how this business completely ignores its potential customers; I’ve never encountered such a lack of responsiveness.
