Charlotte's Pompoenen

Charlotte's Pompoenen

Charlotte’s Pumpkins (Charlotte’s Pompoenen) is a specialized farm located in IJzendijke, focusing predominantly on pumpkins and related produce. The main pumpkin season runs annually from September 1st to October 31st.

During this period, visitors can explore a dedicated pumpkin path and witness the cultivation of over 400 different varieties. Guests have the opportunity to self-pick their own produce, primarily pumpkins, as well as gourds, ornamental cucumbers, peppers, and aubergines, which are all part of the seasonal offering.

Beyond the fields, the farm provides a range of activities, including guided tours of the pumpkin fields. These tours can be combined with coffee and homemade pumpkin cake, tastings of over ten different pumpkin-based products (such as liqueurs, juices, jams, and cheeses), or various creative workshops. The farm hosts workshops throughout the year, focusing on flower arranging, making Christmas stars, festive chocolate treats, and crafting unique lamps from gourds. Visitors can also participate in pumpkin carving or creating autumn arrangements with their picked pumpkins.

An on-site shop features a selection of dried flowers, some grown and processed at the farm, alongside regional products crafted from pumpkins, including liqueur, juice, advocaat, beer, syrup, and jam. Outside of the pumpkin season, the shop also sells geraniums, bedding plants, perennials, and strawberries. Group arrangements are available for tailored experiences, and a high tea can be enjoyed in their Lagenaria greenhouse.
