Heerlijkheid de Hare in Oldemarkt is a pick-your-own organic garden for subscribers. The farm grows vegetables and soft fruit, which subscribers harvest themselves throughout the season. Access is included in the annual subscription, with no additional charge per kilo or container.

The garden is open daily from sunrise to sunset. Subscribers bring their own harvesting tools and containers. Children under five pick for free; older children and adults pay an annual fee, currently €216 per adult and €108 for children aged five to 18. Payment is due by 1 April each year, and subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled by 1 January. The farm also sets aside €2 per subscription for the national CSA network.

Harvesting follows set guidelines to protect the plants and soil. Instructions for each crop are posted on yellow signs in the garden—how to cut chard so it regrows, when to twist rhubarb stems instead of cutting, and which tools to use for root vegetables. Subscribers may only pick for their registered household members and must stay on the paths. Dogs are not allowed in the garden.

Heerlijkheid de Hare operates as a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm, meaning subscribers support the farm financially at the start of the season in exchange for a share of the harvest. The farm focuses on biodiversity and ecological growing methods, working with natural processes rather than chemical inputs. Updates on what is ready to pick are sent by email. Parking is available near the entrance, under lime trees.
