CSA tuinderij Plantalia

Tuinderij Plantalia is a self-pick and cut-your-own vegetable garden located between Middelburg and Ritthem. It operates on a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) basis, growing produce without synthetic pesticides, artificial fertilizers, or animal manure. The farm became certified organic in 2023 after moving to a new plot of land at Landbouwweg. Participants become “oogstgenoten” (harvest partners) by purchasing a harvest share, which allows them to come and pick their own vegetables, herbs, and fruit throughout the season. The main harvest season runs from May through November, though some produce may be available outside these months. The farm offers over 40 types of vegetables including andijvie, aardappelen (potatoes are priced separately), bloemkool, boerenkool, broccoli, courgette, daikon radish, doperwten, knoflook, knolselderij, komkommer, pastinaak, pompoen, prei, radijs, rode biet, rode kool, rucola, sla, snijbiet, sperziebonen, spinazie, spruitjes, tomaten, uien, wortelen, and many more. Herbs such as basil, chives, dill, coriander, parsley, oregano, sage, and thyme are available, along with strawberries and other soft fruit that is being expanded. No fixed opening hours are maintained; visits are by appointment or during scheduled events. Regular guided tours called ‘Rondje tuinderij’ are held on the last Saturday of each month from 10:00 to 11:00. Workdays are also organized throughout the growing season.
