De Glinstertuin is a small-scale ecological nursery and picking garden located in De Glind, encompassing 7,000 square meters. The garden operates on natural principles, avoiding artificial fertilizers and chemical pesticides, and adheres to EKO quality mark guidelines and permaculture practices to promote biodiversity.
Visitors are welcome to explore the beautifully designed experience garden, which offers a serene environment to observe a diverse range of bees, butterflies, and birds. The garden also features educational elements and quiet spots for relaxation or meditation.
Self-picking is a key offering, allowing guests to harvest their own produce. From June through October, a variety of berries and apples are available for picking. Additionally, visitors can create their own bouquets by self-picking from a wide assortment of flowers.
Beyond the self-picking experience, De Glinstertuin cultivates and sells a broad selection of garden plants, herbal plants, shrubs, trees, flowers, herbs, and nuts. These products are sold directly from the garden, as well as through local natural food stores and regional markets.
The garden also hosts various activities, including guided tours, herbal tea tastings featuring herbs grown on-site, and volunteer workdays. For those interested in garden design, the Glinstertuin collaborates with an ecological garden designer who provides expert advice.
The Glinstertuin is open seasonally, typically from late March to early October. Operating hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10:00 to 16:00. Visits on Fridays are by appointment, while the garden is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
