The Greftenhoeve is a blue berry farm specializing in fresh consumption. A large portion of the harvested berries are sold at the Fruitmasters auction in Geldermalsen, while the rest is sold on-site. Customers can purchase pre-picked blueberries or pick their own at the self-picking field. Other available produce includes red and black currants, and gooseberries. During the off-season (September 16th to July 1st), frozen blueberries are sold, also through their webshop.
Visitors can also enjoy a cup of coffee with blueberry pie on the farmyard or in the hay barn. The farm shop offers homemade blueberry products and regional products from Twente. The Greftenhoeve is located near the Engbertsdijkvenen nature reserve and the Twente hiking and cycling network, making it ideal for combining berry picking with a bike ride or hike.
During the peak season (June 15th to September 15th), the farm is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Outside of the season, the farm shop is only open on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and by appointment. Group visits can be arranged.
You can self-pick the following produce:
- Blueberries
- Red currants
- Black currants
