De Greftenhoeve in Vriezenveen is a pick-your-own farm specialising in blueberries, with blackcurrants, redcurrants and gooseberries also available for picking. Blueberries are usually ready from early July, with blackcurrants, redcurrants and gooseberries ripening slightly earlier. Outside the picking season, the farm sells frozen blueberries and other products in its shop.

You pick your own fruit and pay by the kilo. The farm provides containers, or you can bring your own. Picking is only possible when the fields are dry, so start times vary—check the farm’s website on the day of your visit for the current schedule. The farm is open Wednesday to Saturday, 9.00 to 17.00, during the main season. Outside this period, the shop is open on Wednesdays only, 10.00 to 17.00, selling frozen blueberries, jams, juices and other homemade products. The farm also has a small café serving coffee and blueberry pie, and a covered terrace where groups can arrange a high tea by appointment.

After 35 years, the farm will close its blueberry fields after the 2026 season, though the owners plan to continue living on the site and selling frozen berries and products while stocks last. Blueberry bushes are currently for sale for those who want to grow their own.
