De Greftenhoeve is a blueberry farm and nursery located in Vriezenveen, in the Twente region of the Netherlands. The farm specializes in cultivating blueberries for fresh consumption, and the majority of its harvest is sent to the Fruitmasters auction. Visitors are welcome to pick their own blueberries, as well as other small fruits.
Self-Pick Produce and Season During the season, visitors can pick blueberries, red currants, black currants, and gooseberries. The self-pick season generally runs from mid-June to mid-September. Blueberries are typically ready for picking from late June or early July. The other berries, such as red currants, black currants, and gooseberries, are usually available from around June 20th.
Farm Shop and Café The farm shop sells a variety of homemade blueberry products, including pure juice, jam, syrup, and sauce, as well as other regional products from Twente. Frozen blueberries are also available for purchase year-round, including from the online shop. Visitors can enjoy coffee with a slice of blueberry pie in the farmyard under old oak trees or in the hay barn. A High Tea is available by reservation. The farm is also a good stop for cyclists.
Accessibility The farm offers wheelchair-accessible parking, seating, entrance, and toilet facilities. A gender-neutral toilet is available.
