De Plukkerij

De Plukkerij

De Plukkerij is a self-picking garden, run by two sisters, Anja Peters and Ilse Rood, who share a passion for gardening. It offers visitors the opportunity to pick their own bouquets of flowers and engage in various creative activities.

During the picking season, typically from early July to early October (July 2nd to October 11th for 2025), guests can choose from a wide array of flowers to create their own mixed field bouquets or color-coordinated arrangements. Self-pickable flowers include cosmea, zinnia, snapdragons, sunflowers, marigolds, echinacea, and ornamental grasses, along with many other varieties that bloom throughout the season. Scissors and a bucket with water are provided for convenience.

Beyond flower picking, De Plukkerij features a terrace overlooking a garden and pond, where visitors can relax with coffee, tea, homemade grape juice, and freshly baked muffins or cake. The garden also grows plums, cherries, raspberries, blackberries, and grapes, which are harvested to produce homemade jams, juices, syrups, and chutneys, available for purchase at “Het Koffiehuisje” on site.

The location hosts various workshops, where participants can create floral arrangements and crafts using natural materials. These workshops are available year-round, utilizing self-picked flowers during the season or commercially sourced flowers off-season. Special workshops are also offered for children, allowing them to pick flowers and craft something beautiful.

Additionally, Anja Peters provides garden design and planting plan services under the name “Tak en Tuin,” catering to individual garden wishes and offering support during the implementation phase.

De Plukkerij is located at Margrietstraat 27, 4744 AJ Bosschenhoofd, and is open during the picking season on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 to 16:00, and on Saturdays from 12:00 to 17:00.

Many appreciate the added amenity of a terrace where they can enjoy homemade delights such as grape juice, plum tart, and muffins, alongside coffee or tea, making for a delightful afternoon outing.
