Dorpspark De Groene Long Bladel is a community-driven park project in Bladel, Netherlands, initiated and run by residents with the municipality’s support. The park, accessible from sunrise to sunset, aims to be a vibrant meeting place that promotes biodiversity, ecology, outdoor activities, education, and play.

Key features include:

  • Tuinderij Het Groene Goud: A small-scale, organic self-picking farm where visitors can harvest their own vegetables, flowers, herbs, and in the future small fruits. This farm also serves as an educational space.

  • Dierhouderij and Kinderboerderij: A collaboration with Pius X-College, where students learn animal husbandry while providing a petting zoo for the community. The lesson area with a terrarium is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 PM to 4 PM, weather permitting.

  • De Griesel: A meeting space available for rent to local organizations for social, educational, and cultural activities.

The park also has a natural playground. The park has activities planned for 2025, like a plant market, nature market and flower day.

Volunteers are welcome to participate in various tasks, and the project is funded through donations, sponsorships, and subsidies.
