Floratuin Julianadorp is a pick-your-own flower farm in Julianadorp specialising in tulips. From 1 April until mid-May, visitors can pick their own tulips in the pluktuin for €0.35 per stem. The field contains over 150 varieties, and the farm provides buckets and secateurs. You pay at the till, where the flowers are wrapped in paper.
The farm also has a 7,000-square-metre show garden planted with hundreds of bulb varieties, including tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, alliums, crocuses and scillas. The show garden and a separate order garden are open from late March to mid-May. Visitors can walk through the blooming fields and select bulbs to order for delivery in autumn. The farm shop is open year-round and sells more than 300 varieties of spring- and summer-flowering bulbs, including dahlias, begonias, anemones and lilies. Bulbs can be ordered online for delivery from August to November.
Floratuin Julianadorp is open from February to December, with seasonal variations. From February to March and July to November, the shop is open Monday to Friday, 09.00 to 17.00, and Saturday, 10.00 to 16.00. From late March to May, it is open daily, 09.00 to 17.00, with Sunday hours from 10.00 to 16.00. The farm closes in June and from 20 December to February.
The farm also offers guided group tours with coffee and cake, and the tulip field can be booked for corporate events. Parking is free.
What visitors say
Visitors come for the tulips, which stretch as far as you can see in every colour and shape. You can pick your own bouquet for 35 cents a stem, or buy ready-made bunches at low prices—one reviewer paid just €7 for 20 tulips. The farm also sells bulbs for tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other flowers, with a huge selection that many call overwhelming. Staff are friendly and give planting tips, though a few visitors mention the shop can feel crowded.
Children enjoy the picking garden and the trampoline, making it a popular family outing. Most visitors praise the quality and variety, though a few note that some tulips are already fully open when they arrive. The farm is closed in June, and bulbs are only available in season—something that has caught a few visitors by surprise.
