Groene Pluk is a self-harvest garden located at Ibisweg 14 in Zeewolde, on the grounds of Burgerboerderij Oosterwold. It operates as a community-supported agriculture (CSA) initiative, where members share in both the bounty and the risks of the growing season. The garden focuses on regenerative, fully biological farming practices, with the goal of nourishing the soil, supporting biodiversity, and providing fresh, local food. The site is open to visitors from Wednesday through Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with the exception of a winter harvest period when hours are limited to Thursday through Saturday. The business is currently operational and has received high marks from its members.
Members can self-pick a wide variety of produce. For vegetables and herbs, a harvest share provides access to 5 to 12 different types of vegetables and fresh herbs each week. The season runs from May through the end of November, for approximately 32 weeks. The selection includes familiar items like tomatoes, lettuce, potatoes, and pumpkin, as well as less common varieties such as raapsteel, sunchoke, and bimi. Some small fruit, such as strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and ground cherries, is also available. Additionally, members can pick herbs from the herb garden, including parsley, mint, coriander, chives, and sage, along with edible flowers.
For flowers, the main plucking garden is open from June through mid-October, allowing visitors to pick a varied bouquet of sustainably grown, seasonal blooms. A separate tulip plucking garden is open for approximately one month in April, where visitors can pick 15 organic tulips with bulbs for later blooming at home.
