HenksPluktuin is a self-picking farm that is closed in January and will return in February 2025 with new plans. You can stay updated via their newsletter, website, and Instagram.
The flower picking garden is open from June 1st, Wednesday to Sunday, roughly from 10 AM to 5 PM, weather permitting. You’ll be provided with a basket, scissors, and a small board, and they’ll explain what and where you can pick. Various flowers are available, and you can create your own bouquet starting from €5.
From Wednesday to Sunday, the sales stall offers products from the garden that are currently abundant, including honey, jam, mustard, pear syrup, and seed packets from the garden. A limited supply is available during bad weather.
Currently, there’s a waiting list for season-long subscriptions, but the flower picking garden is open to non-members. Various activities take place at the Pluktuin.
HenksPluktuin started in the 1940s as a vegetable garden for personal use and sharing with neighbors. Erik van der Gronden, the youngest son of Henk, now runs the garden and expanded it with a small-scale beekeeping operation, called Henks Pluktuin.
They also organize Christmas and flower workshops.
What visitors say
This charming garden offers a unique experience: the chance to pick your own flowers, vegetables, and fruits. Visitors can also relax amidst a beautiful orchard. The passionate owner, Erik, is happy to share his knowledge about the garden and his bees. He also produces delicious homemade honey, syrups, vinegars, and mustards, all available for purchase. The atmosphere is welcoming, with friendly staff providing guidance before you explore the growing pick-your-own section, filled with tasty produce and blooms. The garden also hosts a bonfire at Easter that is highly recommended. This peaceful oasis is a fantastic place to find inspiration and connect with nature.
