Het Plukparadijs is a small-scale, community-supported market garden (CSA) located at Hoofdweg 95 in De Krim, in the Dutch province of Overijssel. Founded in 2022 by Albertine, a graduate of the Warmonderhof biodynamic farming college, the garden is still growing and developing year by year, with the long-term goal of cultivating a full hectare of productive land. The garden operates according to the principles of biological and regenerative agriculture — using organic seeds and plant material, avoiding synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, and nurturing the soil through mulching and green manures.
At Het Plukparadijs, visitors are welcome to harvest their own vegetables, fruit, and flowers directly from the garden. The growing area currently offers over 40 varieties of vegetables and fruit, as well as more than 40 types of flowers. The vegetable range includes well-known crops such as lettuce, beans, endive, peppers, tomatoes, carrots, and broccoli, as well as lesser-known varieties like Swiss chard, turnip greens, winter purslane, and radish. Thanks to two polytunnels, the growing season starts early and extends well into winter. The vegetable harvest season typically runs from around April/May through to December, beginning with leafy greens and gradually expanding to include legumes, brassicas, root vegetables, and fruiting crops. The flower season runs from approximately mid-June to mid-October, offering around 15 weeks of fresh blooms.
The garden primarily works with seasonal subscriptions based on the CSA principle, in which members support the farm at the start of the year and in return enjoy guaranteed access to fresh produce throughout the season. Vegetable subscribers can visit the garden to harvest their own produce six days a week, from Monday to Saturday between 9:00 and 19:00, and may also take unlimited fresh herbs. The flower subscription allows members to pick a fresh bunch of flowers each week during the flower season. For those who prefer not to commit to a subscription, loose sales are also available during regular public opening hours. Single bunches of flowers can be purchased for between €7 and €15, and a strip card for five picking visits is available for €50.
The garden uses a solidarity pricing model for vegetable subscriptions, allowing customers to choose a price tier based on their financial means. Annual rates for adults range from €250 (basic) to €350 (solidarity rate), with reduced rates available for children. A combined vegetable and flower subscription is also possible at a discounted rate.
Het Plukparadijs is open to the general public during the season, which runs from May to November, on the following days:
- Wednesday: 10:00 – 16:30
- Saturday: 10:00 – 12:30
The garden has wheelchair-accessible parking and has received a perfect five-star rating on Google. During public opening hours, a staff member is always present to answer questions and assist with harvesting.
