Het Veldatelier is a certified organic, seasonal flower nursery and craft studio located in Schipluiden, on the estate of Op Hodenpijl. The farm operates on Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) principles, focusing on environmentally responsible cultivation and a reciprocal relationship with nature. In addition to supplying flowers to florists in the Randstad, the farm offers a pick-your-own flower garden for its members, who can harvest blooms either weekly or bi-weekly.

Self-picking is available based on a subscription or a strippenkaart (punch card). The pick-your-own garden opens for subscription holders starting from mid-April to mid-May, while the public can access the garden from mid-June. The season for self-picking extends through the growing months, allowing for the selection of seasonal, naturally grown flowers. The farm also hosts workshops in craft techniques, such as wild basketry and botanical lino printing.

Pluktuin Schipluiden

Pluktuin Schipluiden is a community-oriented, biodiverse garden located on the edge of Schipluiden. Spanning approximately 3,500 square meters, the garden is a place where visitors can explore, learn, and harvest. The space is designed as a living ecosystem, featuring an extensive variety of fruit trees, berry bushes, vegetable beds, herb gardens, and flower patches. Managed by a foundation and cared for by a dedicated team of volunteers, the garden operates on organic and circular principles, using compost, sheep’s wool, and natural pest control methods like encouraging beneficial insects.

Abtswoudsepark Pluktuin & wadi

Welkom in het Abtswoudsepark in Delft, een groen project dat door en voor buurtbewoners wordt ontwikkeld. Het park is opgedeeld in twee delen: de noordelijke Natuurbelevingstuin en het zuidelijke Pluktuin- en wadigebied. Het doel is om het park mooier, biodiverser en recreatiever te maken, met veel aandacht voor inheemse planten, insecten en vogels. In de Pluktuin in het zuidelijke deel van het park kunnen bezoekers zelf fruit oogsten. Hier staan fruitbomen en -struiken zoals appelbomen, blauwe bessen, frambozen en bramen. Fruit is te plukken in de zomer en de nazomer, met een piek in augustus. In de Natuurbelevingstuin in het noordelijke deel zijn er verhoogde borders, een kruidenspiraal en een bloemenweide met kruiden en bloemen die rijk zijn aan nectar.

Buitenkweek

Buitenkweek is a small-scale nursery located in Delft, specializing in sustainable, perennial garden plants, with a strong focus on native Dutch species. The operation is run by Jolijn Leeuwenburgh, along with over 20 volunteers, and is situated on Landgoed Buitenleeft. The plants are grown in an unheated greenhouse without the use of chemical pesticides or artificial fertilizers. Visitors can purchase a wide variety of plants, including perennials, biennials, annuals, and shrubs, as well as organic potting soil, compost, and flower seed mixes specifically designed to support local biodiversity. Additionally, the nursery offers a selection of organic, open-pollinated vegetable seeds. While this is not a self-picking operation for fruits or vegetables, the nursery provides plants, seeds, and packaged ready-made garden kits, such as facade garden and tree pit packages, aimed at urban greening.

Landgoed Buitenleeft
