U-pick farm Hoeve Avondrust

Hoeve Avondrust is a farm and regional product farm located on the Zuidbuurt, near Vlaardingen. The farm features a farm shop, a tea garden, and a fruit orchard, and it produces a range of homemade preserves and specialty foods using fruit and vegetables grown in its own orchard and vegetable garden, or sourced from small-scale regional growers. All fruit is cultivated naturally without pesticides, and products are made without preservatives.

Visitors can pick their own tea ingredients directly from the garden. During the summer, fresh produce such as courgettes, pumpkins, and fresh mint are also available for purchase.

Zelfoogsttuin De Groentemeester

De Groentemeester is a self-pick farm and community-supported agriculture (CSA) project located on the site of a former ice rink in Maassluis, Netherlands. The farm spans approximately half a hectare and focuses on sustainable, local food production without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. It is suitable for children and offers free on-site parking. As a self-pick farm, the farm offers two main activities. For a seasonal subscription (an “oogstaandeel” for €440 per year for 1-2 people), members can pick their own vegetables from roughly mid-May until late November. The farm cultivates around 90 to 100 different vegetables and herbs during that period, including crops such as beetroot, carrots, parsnips, onions, leeks, lettuce, chard, radishes, zucchini, cucumbers, pumpkin, broccoli, several types of cabbage, tomatoes, peppers, and potatoes. Members receive a weekly harvest email detailing what is available. On top of the vegetable subscriptions, the farm also operates a flower-picking garden, open to the general public from about the end of May until mid-October. Pluktuin Schipluiden

Spanning approximately 3,500 square meters, the garden is a place where visitors can explore, learn, and harvest. The space is designed as a living ecosystem, featuring an extensive variety of fruit trees, berry bushes, vegetable beds, herb gardens, and flower patches. Abtswoudsepark Pluktuin & wadi

Welkom in het Abtswoudsepark in Delft, een groen project dat door en voor buurtbewoners wordt ontwikkeld. Het park is opgedeeld in twee delen: de noordelijke Natuurbelevingstuin en het zuidelijke Pluktuin- en wadigebied. Het doel is om het park mooier, biodiverser en recreatiever te maken, met veel aandacht voor inheemse planten, insecten en vogels. In de Pluktuin in het zuidelijke deel van het park kunnen bezoekers zelf fruit oogsten. Hier staan fruitbomen en -struiken zoals appelbomen, blauwe bessen, frambozen en bramen. Fruit is te plukken in de zomer en de nazomer, met een piek in augustus. In de Natuurbelevingstuin in het noordelijke deel zijn er verhoogde borders, een kruidenspiraal en een bloemenweide met kruiden en bloemen die rijk zijn aan nectar.
