Jachtslot Mookerheide

Zelfgeplukt is a self-picking garden situated within the productive gardens of the picturesque Landgoed Mookerheide, located a short drive from Nijmegen. The farm specializes in cultivating a wide array of nature-friendly cut flowers using organic methods, with a strong focus on supporting biodiversity and fostering a rich insect life.

Visitors are welcome to create their own bouquets from the seasonal offerings, which include approximately 75 different types and 160 varieties of flowers throughout the growing season. Among the blooms often available are cornflowers, delphiniums, dahlias, cosmos, and sunflowers. All necessary picking materials are provided on-site.

The self-picking season typically runs from May, when the garden opens on Friday afternoons with its first fresh flowers and seeds, and continues until the end of October. From early June, picking is available on both Friday afternoons and Saturdays. Standard opening hours during the season are Fridays from 13:00 to 16:00 and Saturdays from 11:00 to 16:00, though these times may be adjusted for extreme weather conditions. The cost for a self-picked bouquet is €16.00, with smaller bouquets available for €11.00. Discount cards can also be purchased for frequent visits.

In addition to self-picking, Zelfgeplukt offers ready-made bouquets, gift vouchers, and “do-it-yourself” buckets brimming with fresh seasonal flowers, ideal for events such as weddings, parties, or funerals. Outside the main blooming season, a selection of dried flowers and various dried flower arrangements are available, including custom options for weddings and funerals. Card payment is accepted on location.
