Boerderij Korenblik is an organic, mixed farm located in the scenic rural area between Warnsveld and Vorden, adjacent to the Hackfort estate. The farm operates on a sustainable, circular economy model, cultivating a diverse range of vegetables, potatoes, and small fruits, while also raising cattle and pigs.
Visitors have the opportunity to pick their own produce. A specialty is the delicious strawberries and raspberries, which are available for self-picking from mid-May, sometimes extending deep into October. In addition, there is a beautiful organic flower garden, managed by Plukkerz, where visitors can pick their own flowers.
The farm features a shop that offers its own fresh organic products, including a wide seasonal selection of vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, pointed cabbage, carrots, sour cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, various root vegetables, and winter greens like kale, beets, pumpkin, leek, and Brussels sprouts. Potatoes (including Raja, Frieslander, Agria, and Vitabella) are also available almost year-round. Beyond produce, the shop sells meat from the farm’s Limousine and MRIJ cattle and pigs, honey from their own beehives, and herbs from a dedicated herb garden. The selection is complemented by organic dairy products from Vijfsprong and bread from Driekant bakery.
Committed to ecological practices, Boerderij Korenblik is Skal certified, employs strip cultivation and crop rotation to enhance biodiversity and soil health, and utilizes solar panels for energy. The farm actively works to reduce waste by processing surplus produce and providing it to animals or local initiatives.
The farm shop welcomes visitors on Fridays from 9:00 to 18:00 and Saturdays from 9:00 to 12:30. Boerderij Korenblik is situated at Geesinkweg 13, 7231 RE Warnsveld.
What visitors say
This farm shop receives widespread acclaim for its extensive range of beautiful, fresh, and honest organic products. Customers consistently praise the vast selection, which includes vegetables, fruits, and meats directly from their own land, alongside other organic goods such as eggs, dairy, cheese, wine, and bread from local bakeries. Many find it an excellent and convenient destination for their weekly grocery shopping due to the comprehensive offerings. The freshness of the produce, often described as “straight from the land” or “morning fresh,” is a frequently highlighted quality. Beyond the products themselves, the shop is celebrated for its pleasant atmosphere and the exceptionally friendly and helpful owners and staff, creating a welcoming experience for visitors. The community highly values having such a well-stocked local organic farm shop.
However, one review did raise concerns about prices being somewhat high, a limited selection of meat, and the poor condition of a freezer. The owner addressed this feedback, clarifying that while they do offer meat from their own organic cattle, their primary focus is on organic vegetables and fruits. They also explained that organic products naturally command a certain price, but emphasized that their own-grown items are typically more affordable than comparable options found in organic supermarkets, while refuting the claim regarding the freezer’s state.
