Korenblik, biologische boerderij

Boerderij Korenblik is a biodynamic mixed farm and farm shop located in the countryside between Warnsveld and Vorden, bordering the Hackfort estate. The farm operates on the principles of circular agriculture and is fully SKAL-certified, meaning all products are grown without chemical pesticides or artificial fertilizers. In addition to vegetable, potato, and livestock farming, the farm features a separate, independently run organic flower garden called Plukkerz.

Self-picking is available for soft fruits, which are a specialty of the farm. Strawberries and raspberries can be picked from mid-May until deep into October. The main strawberry harvest typically runs from the end of May to mid-July, while raspberries begin around June/July and continue until the first autumn frosts. These fruits are grown both in unheated tunnels and in open fields. The farm grows up to 40 to 50 different varieties of vegetables, potatoes, and fruit at the peak of the season, though these are available for purchase in the farm shop rather than for self-picking.

The farm shop is open on Fridays from 09:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 09:00 to 12:30. The shop is closed from Monday through Thursday and on Sunday. In addition to home-grown produce, the shop offers a range of regional products including dairy, bread, and other goods. The farm is open year-round during these shop hours.

What visitors say

This farm shop receives widespread acclaim for its extensive range of beautiful, fresh, and honest organic products. Customers consistently praise the vast selection, which includes vegetables, fruits, and meats directly from their own land, alongside other organic goods such as eggs, dairy, cheese, wine, and bread from local bakeries. Many find it an excellent and convenient destination for their weekly grocery shopping due to the comprehensive offerings. The freshness of the produce, often described as “straight from the land” or “morning fresh,” is a frequently highlighted quality. Beyond the products themselves, the shop is celebrated for its pleasant atmosphere and the exceptionally friendly and helpful owners and staff, creating a welcoming experience for visitors. The community highly values having such a well-stocked local organic farm shop.

However, one review did raise concerns about prices being somewhat high, a limited selection of meat, and the poor condition of a freezer. The owner addressed this feedback, clarifying that while they do offer meat from their own organic cattle, their primary focus is on organic vegetables and fruits. They also explained that organic products naturally command a certain price, but emphasized that their own-grown items are typically more affordable than comparable options found in organic supermarkets, while refuting the claim regarding the freezer’s state.
