Kwekerij & Pluktuin Bloemrijk in Wageningen is a certified organic flower farm where visitors can pick their own seasonal blooms. The flower fields are open from mid-June to the end of September, with over 500 varieties of locally grown, pesticide-free flowers available. You can create your own bouquet by selecting and cutting flowers directly from the field.
The farm operates on a pick-your-own basis, with entry free if you come to pick or collect a pre-ordered bouquet. Otherwise, there is a small entry fee. A “plukkaart” (picking card) allows three visits during the season for €42, while a single visit costs €17, which includes guidance on selecting and arranging flowers. Children’s workshops, group activities, and corporate outings are also available, with a minimum of eight participants.
The flower fields are open without appointment on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12.00 to 16.00. On other weekdays, groups can visit by arrangement. The farm closes during extreme heat (above 30°C) to protect the flowers. In addition to picking, Bloemrijk offers workshops on flower arranging, led by a professional florist, and sells pre-made bouquets, flower subscriptions, and gift vouchers.
The farm also provides opportunities for volunteering and day activities as part of its green care programme, supporting biodiversity and sustainable farming practices. Parking is available on-site.
