Landwinkel Oude Stoof is a fruit farm and country shop located in Hengstdijk, Zeeland (Zuiddijk 6, 4585 PP Hengstdijk). The farm grows apples, pears, plums, and sweet cherries in its own orchards surrounding the shop. Self-picking of apples and pears is offered during organized fruit-picking days held on Saturdays from August through October, with specific dates in 2025 falling on August 9, 16, 23, 30; September 6, 13, 20, 27; and October 4 and 11. The picking starts at 10:30 AM and does not require prior registration. In August, Delcorf apples and Triomphe pears are available for picking; from September onward, many varieties can be picked, including Elstar, Jonagold, Jonagored, Goudreinette, Golden Delicious apples, as well as Conference and Doyenné du Comice hand pears, and Gieser Wildemann and Saint Rémy stewing pears. Picked fruit can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 10 to 14 days.
The farm shop offers a wide range of products beyond fresh fruit: cheese (including aged farm cheese, herb cheeses, and goat cheese), meat (free-range pork, beef, chicken, and lamb from local farms), dairy (buttermilk, yogurt, custard, quark, and cream), eggs, seasonal vegetables, and regional specialties. The farm also has holiday chalets for 4 to 6 persons in the pear orchard, camper van pitches, and organizes events such as orchard tours, pruning workshops, cooking demonstrations, and a blossom tour by horse-drawn cart. The property is wheelchair accessible with designated parking.
