Landwinkel en Minicamping Schorre in Vrouwenpolder is a pick-your-own farm where visitors can harvest apples and pears in September and October. The farm organises picking days every Saturday from 12 September to 10 October, between 09.00 and 16.00. In the first weeks, varieties available include Elstar, Conference, Robijn and Delcorf. From 26 September, Jonagold and Rode Boskoop (Goudreinette) are also ready to pick.
The farm grows mainly apples, pears and plums in its orchard. The season starts in August with plums, followed by early apples like Delcorf and later varieties such as Elstar, Conference, Doyenne du Comice and Jonagold. The orchard is tended year-round, with pruning in winter, pest control in spring and thinning of fruit in early summer.
Schorre also has a farm shop selling seasonal fruit, including its own produce, along with juices, jams, local dairy products, cheese, nuts, delicatessen items and gift baskets. The shop offers coffee, tea and freshly baked bread rolls, croissants and sourdough loaves, which can be ordered in advance by email or WhatsApp. The shop is open from September to October, Wednesday to Friday 08.30 to 17.30 and Saturday 08.30 to 16.00. It is closed on Sundays and from November to March.
In addition to the orchard and shop, Schorre runs a small campsite with 25 pitches, open from late March to the end of October. The site has a playground, a football area and a heated sanitary building with facilities for disabled visitors. Four holiday homes are also available for rent, sleeping between four and twelve people. The farm is wheelchair-accessible, with designated parking and an accessible entrance. Payment by card, contactless and mobile is accepted.
