Landwinkel Weststrate

Landwinkel Weststrate

Landwinkel Weststrate is a family-run fruit farm and farm shop located in Middelburg, in the province of Zeeland. Established in 1959 by the Weststrate family and taken over in 1990 by Harry and Heleen Provoost, the farm has since specialized in fruit cultivation with a 13-hectare orchard. The on-site farm shop offers a wide range of locally produced goods, including the farm’s own fruit and vegetables, regional cheeses, dairy products, artisanal breads, sustainably sourced meats, and handcrafted chocolates.

Visitors can self-pick apples and pears at the annual “Plukdag” (Pick Day), which typically takes place at the end of the summer. The specific varieties available for picking are the Elstar and Goudreinet apples, as well as the Gieser Wildeman and Winterriet stewing pears. The exact date for the picking day in 2026 has not yet been announced.

The farm also hosts seasonal events, including a Bloesemdag (Blossom Day) on April 18, 2026, from 09:00 to 16:00, featuring guided orchard tours, a fresh asparagus stall, and children’s activities. A larger Boomgaardfair (Orchard Fair) is scheduled for August 22, 2026, with dozens of stalls, food vendors, and entertainment for all ages.

The farm shop is open Tuesday through Friday from 08:00 to 17:30, and on Saturday from 08:00 to 16:00. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The location offers free parking, a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking, and accepts credit cards, debit cards, and contactless mobile payments.
