Tuinderij Natuurluck is a small-scale, full-ground organic vegetable farm located at Zuidplasweg 22, Zevenhuizen, established in 1986 by René and Ingrid. The farm operates with a strong commitment to biological cultivation, avoiding artificial fertilizers and chemical pesticides to maintain a healthy soil ecosystem and ensure vibrant produce. It is Skal-certified, adhering to strict organic guidelines.
Annually, Natuurluck cultivates approximately 40 different seasonal crops, using a combination of open fields, a small greenhouse, and polytunnels to extend the growing season. The cultivation process emphasizes manual labor, fostering a close connection to the soil and plants.
Among the variety of organic vegetables grown are courgettes, New Zealand spinach, cherry tomatoes, basil, and pumpkins. The farm offers its fresh, seasonal produce primarily through bi-weekly organic vegetable boxes, which are available for pickup starting in May. Each box costs €13.95 and is designed to provide 3-4 meals for 2-3 people. In addition to the vegetable boxes, Natuurluck supplies its produce to natural food stores, organic wholesalers, and webshops.
The farm also serves as an approved training company, offering internships to serious students of land and horticulture programs who have an interest in organic vegetable cultivation. Volunteers are also warmly welcomed.
