OEST Farm&Stay is a 6-hectare farm located on the Hof ter Linde estate in Zeeland, where nature and sustainability guide every activity. The farm is built on permaculture principles, working with the land by using minimal soil disturbance, planting multiple layers of vegetation, and employing chickens, ducks, pigs, and sheep for natural fertilization and pest control. In the large vegetable garden, known as moestuin Hemeltjelief, guests can pick their own fresh, organic, and seasonal vegetables, potatoes, herbs, fruit, and flowers. While there is something to harvest year-round, the peak harvest months are July, August, September, and October. The farm also offers a range of other products from its own land, including eggs, nuts, and sourdough breads baked on-site using locally grown and milled grains.
Guests can stay in a variety of accommodations. A luxury holiday home is available year-round. The campsite in the food forest, with space for tents and small campers, is open from April to September. From late April through August, guests can also rent a pre-set caravan or luxury bell tents. The farm provides shared sanitary facilities, including compost toilets and hot showers, and a communal outdoor kitchen with a rocket stove and fireplace. The site operates on a zero-waste ethos, with no wifi, limited lighting, and a focus on reusing and composting. Other amenities include a small on-site shop offering unpackaged staples and fresh produce, yoga sessions held year-round, and various workshops such as botanical printmaking, ink making, herbalism, and sourdough bread baking. Guided tours of the permaculture gardens are also offered at scheduled dates from spring through summer.
