At OLGARDEN in Deurningen you pick your own flowers from a pluktuin stocked with dahlias, annuals and perennials. The season runs from mid-July to the end of September. Scissors are provided; you pay a fixed price for each bouquet you make.
The pluktuin is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11.00 to 16.00, and by appointment at other times. Groups of eight or more can book an evening workshop in July, August or September. For weddings or funerals the owner will open the field outside regular hours.
OLGARDEN also runs a hobby nursery selling the same annuals that grow in the pluktuin. The nursery is open on selected weekends in May and June; the current list of dates is on the website. Plants cost €1.50 each, or €2.50 for perennials. You order online and collect later.
The garden itself can be visited by groups of ten or more from mid-June to the end of September. Entry is €6 per person, including coffee or tea and a snack. Individuals can visit on four open weekends organised by Rondje Tuinen Twente; entry then is €3.
Parking is wheelchair-accessible, as is the entrance. Dogs are not allowed.
