Pluk me!

Pluk me!

“Pluk me!” is a garden and nursery located in Weesp, dedicated to the sustainable and pesticide-free cultivation of flowers and plants. While the establishment previously operated as a self-picking garden, visitors can no longer self-pick flowers directly from its fields.

Instead, “Pluk me!” focuses on providing freshly picked, unsprayed bouquets and DIY flower bundles for purchase. These are available seasonally, typically on Fridays and Saturdays from early June to late October. Larger quantities of loose seasonal flowers can also be ordered for special occasions.

For individuals interested in creating their own flower-picking space, “Pluk me!” offers extensive support. This includes practical workshops designed to teach participants how to establish and maintain a personal flower garden. They also provide “The Plukkrat,” a curated package featuring perennial and annual plants, accompanied by seeds for varieties such as Cornflower, Nigella (Love-in-a-mist), and Marigold, aimed at transforming any garden into a blooming paradise. Strong, unsprayed perennial plants are available for sale directly from their nursery, along with organic potting soil and compost. Furthermore, online courses and free e-books offer guidance on sowing techniques, soil health, and composting.

The farm upholds a commitment to enhancing biodiversity through its natural and environmentally friendly cultivation practices, utilizing no artificial fertilizers or toxins.

What visitors say

This self-picking farm is consistently celebrated as a beautiful, lovely, and inspiring destination, with visitors frequently describing their experience as making them “very happy.” A significant draw is the chance to pick one’s own stunning bouquets, particularly noting the abundance of beautiful native and organic flowers that create a floral splendor from early July.

Beyond the self-picking experience, the farm offers highly engaging and educational workshops, such as “Your Own Picking Garden” and sessions focused on sowing and germinating annual flowers. These workshops are led by knowledgeable instructors, notably Karen, who shares extensive expertise. Attendees appreciate not only the hands-on learning but also the pleasant atmosphere, often enhanced by delightful refreshments like coffee, tea, and cake provided by the farmer’s wife. Participants typically leave with valuable takeaways, including a wealth of new knowledge, trays of sown plants, perennial plants, and even instructional booklets, all while feeling energized and positive. Many enthusiastically recommend the farm and its workshops, affirming that it is a truly worthwhile place to visit.
