Pluktuin de Wâlden

Pluktuin de Wâlden

Pluktuin de Wâlden is a dahlia picking garden located in Friesland, specifically at It Skeanpaed 2, 9287 NL Twijzelerheide. It stands out as one of Friesland’s largest dahlia picking gardens, offering visitors the opportunity to create their own unique bouquets from over 100 different varieties of dahlias.

The garden spans nearly 7000 square meters and is preparing for its next season, with dahlias expected to be in full bloom again from July 2026. It is designed to be a delightful outing for the entire family, providing a colorful and engaging experience, including space for children to play.

Sustainability is a core principle, as the garden emphasizes picking fresh, local flowers that minimize transport-related CO2 emissions. All flowers are grown without pesticides, using only biological fertilizers, ensuring healthy and toxin-free blooms while contributing to a cleaner environment and the protection of local biodiversity. An on-site flower shop, “It Blommehûske,” is also expected to reopen in July 2026 at the entrance.
