Pluktuin la Fleur operates six flower-picking gardens in Zeeland, West-Brabant (Netherlands), and East Flanders (Belgium). Though the season is over and the gardens are being prepared for 2025, during the season, from late March to September, visitors can pick their own flowers in a pleasant outdoor environment. The gardens are open Monday to Saturday from sunrise to sunset, with some location exceptions.

The flowers available include a wide variety of blooms, promising longer vase life due to their freshness. Children are welcome to independently pick the flowers they like. The gardens are unmanned, operating on an honor system with payment options including cash and online payment via QR code (with a small transaction fee). Picnic tables are available at each location.

In addition to flower picking, the website also sells bulbs, tubers, and seeds for customers to grow their own flowers at home, shipping to addresses in the Netherlands and Belgium. Gift vouchers are available for purchase online. The website also features a list of locations of their farms. The farms are in:

  • Zwijndrecht (BE)
  • Waterland-Oudeman (BE)
  • Sint Gillis-Waas (BE)

What visitors say

Opinions on the flower garden are mixed. While some appreciate the practical paths preventing muddy feet and the interesting variety of flowers planted in an accessible way, others find the selection limited. One reviewer highlights the novelty of picking flowers themselves. However, a more critical perspective suggests the overall appearance lacks appeal, regardless of the season, and that the location falls far short of the expectations of visitors seeking typical Dutch flower fields, such as tulips. Another reviewer’s comment “Lekker pissen op de vrijdag avond” (Nice to pee on Friday evening) is out of context and impossible to summarize clearly.
