Stroe Berries

Nestled in the forested surroundings of the Veluwe in Stroe, StroeBerries is a pick-your-own garden where visitors can explore, relax, and enjoy what nature has to offer. The garden has been developed since 2015, starting with blueberries and expanding over the years to include a wide variety of produce. Visitors can wander through the garden and pick their own fruit, including blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, red currants, gooseberries, and a cross between a raspberry and a blackberry called a “frambraam.” Apples and pears are also available, along with walnuts and hazelnuts. In addition to fruit, the garden features a flower-picking area with tulips and summer flowers, allowing guests to create their own bouquets.

The picking season runs from June through October. More specifically, the garden is open in June on Saturdays from 10:00 to 17:00; in July and August from Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 17:00; and in September and October on Fridays and Saturdays, 10:00 to 17:00. Exact opening days are also announced on social media. The garden is temporarily closed and reopens on Friday, September 12, at 10:00, with the last picking days of the season typically in mid-October. After that, the garden closes and reopens around late June of the following year.

StroeBerries offers a terrace and shop where visitors can enjoy coffee and pastries with a view of the garden, as well as purchase products directly from the farm. For children, there is a children’s picking garden and a playground. The garden paths among the flower beds are paved and wheelchair accessible, though the toilet is not wheelchair-friendly. Dogs are allowed on a short leash. No reservation is needed for individual visits, though groups are encouraged to reserve in advance. The garden provides containers and scissors for picking, and visitors can arrange their flowers at a worktable before having them wrapped in the shop. Fruit is weighed and paid for at the checkout. Payments can be made by pin, contactless mobile payment, or credit card. Free parking is available on site.
