Stroe Berries in Stroe is a pick-your-own farm where you can gather blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, apples, pears, walnuts, hazelnuts and summer flowers. The season runs from late June to mid-October. In late June, the farm is open only on Saturdays; from July to August, it opens Wednesday to Saturday; and in September and the first half of October, it opens on Fridays and Saturdays. Hours are 10.00 to 17.00.
You pick flowers with a basket and scissors provided, then arrange your bouquet at a worktable before paying. For fruit, you use a bucket or container and pay by weight. The produce is unsprayed. The farm also sells garden products in its shop and serves coffee and cake on the terrace.
The flower paths are paved and wheelchair-accessible; the fruit paths are grass. There is a small play area for children. Dogs are allowed if kept on a short lead. No reservation is needed for individual visits, but groups should book ahead.
