At ’t Leeuweriksveld in Emmen you pick your own vegetables and herbs from April to October. The farm grows a wide variety of seasonal produce, including leafy greens like spinach, lettuce, and kale, root vegetables such as carrots, beetroot, and parsnips, and crops like beans, peas, and courgettes. Herbs like basil, parsley, and oregano are also available for picking. Picking is organised through a self-harvest membership, which costs €315 for adults and less for children, with a free trial month. Members receive a planting plan and map showing where to pick each crop. You harvest only what you need for fresh consumption, unless otherwise indicated. The farm provides tools, and there is a cleaning area for your produce. Coffee and tea are available for €1.50 a cup from April to October.
The farm is open for picking on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The farm shop sells fresh produce, dairy, bread, and dry goods, and is open Monday 15.00 to 18.00, Thursday 14.00 to 18.00, Friday 9.00 to 17.00, and Saturday 9.00 to 14.00.
’t Leeuweriksveld is a certified organic, biodynamic farm. It also operates a vegetable box scheme with collection points across Drenthe. The farm hosts occasional events, such as guided tours and seasonal dinners. Parking is available on site.
