Voedselbos Texel is a self-picking farm located on the island of Texel, Netherlands, at Middellandseweg 4, 1792CG Oudeschild. Founded in 1994, the farm spans over 6 hectares and features a diverse ecosystem with 3,000 trees, 5,000 shrubs, and 25,000 plants. They harvest around 20,000 kg of over 100 varieties of fruits, vegetables, flowers, nuts, and herbs.
The farm aims to enhance Texel’s biodiversity and promote sustainable agriculture through organic fertilization, biological pest control and professional fruit cultivation.
Visitors can enjoy self-picking activities, a terrace serving homemade pastries, Texel coffee, and ice cream, and a “Kabouterpad” (gnome path) for children aged 1-8, available from April 1, 2025. The farm shop is open year-round, offering homemade jams, syrups, sauces, and local Texel products.
The farm is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00 with free admission. Leashed dogs are welcome.
