Wenum Hoeve is a farm situated on 25 hectares in the scenic Veluwe region of Gelderland. It operates as a unique combination of agriculture, care, and hospitality.

The farm features a pick-your-own garden and flower garden where visitors can harvest fresh produce. Available for self-picking are:

  • Fresh vegetables
  • Flowers, including cut flowers and traditional farm flowers like Dahlias
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Fresh herbs
  • Other seasonal fresh fruit

Beyond self-picking, Wenum Hoeve functions as a care farm, offering meaningful daily activities and reintegration opportunities for individuals with physical, intellectual, or mental disabilities, as well as those facing challenges at school or work, and elderly individuals with mild dementia. These ‘assistant farmers’ contribute to various tasks across the farm.

The farm also boasts a shop and tea house, selling a variety of regional and farm-produced items. These include sustainably raised Hereford beef, fresh vegetables, eggs from their Plymouth Rock chickens, homemade jams, honey, and other local delicacies. Visitors can also enjoy a cup of tea, including fresh mint tea from the farm’s own garden, during opening hours (Thursday & Friday 10:30-15:30, Saturday 10:00-13:00).

Additionally, Wenum Hoeve provides inspiring locations for meetings, team-building events, and other gatherings, with unique experiences such as cow safaris, calf cuddling, and sheep herding. The farm raises Hereford cattle and Holstein Friesian calves, alongside other animals like horses, ponies, goats, rabbits, and chickens.
