Located in the rural area of Kraggenburg in the Noordoostpolder, Leer werk boerderij Xtrakragt is a small-scale care farm that combines vocational day activities with recreation. The farm is part of the larger multifunctional Boerderij de Zuiderkrib, which focuses on arable farming, tourism, and care services. Set within a quiet landscape of fields, forests, and water, the farm offers a structured, supportive environment for adults and older youth.
A public flower-picking garden is available on the property from July through the end of October. Here, visitors can pick their own flowers daily during the season. The farm also grows soft fruit, which can be picked when in season. In addition to self-picking, the farm offers opportunities to learn various gardening skills such as sowing, planting dahlias, pruning fruit trees and soft fruit bushes, and berry picking.
The farm’s coffee and tea house, known as Zuidpunt T121, is open on Monday and Thursday afternoons from around April until the autumn break. It serves barista coffee, homemade seasonal cakes, and other refreshments. During the summer months, special evening picking sessions and workshops are held in the garden.
On-site accommodation is available through a tiny house Bed & Breakfast on the dike, two B&B rooms in a renovated barn (including one with adapted facilities), and basic camping in the meadow. The farm also hosts various events throughout the year, such as markets, festivals, and exhibitions.
